On August 11, 1991 on a beautiful sunday evening, Najeeb Mario Raymond McKay was born.  The artist grew up in the community of 6 St John’s Road in Spanish Town. Growing up youngsta was a talented individual. He had a passion for dancing and singing.
Many says Youngsta Musiq was gifted and he has the abilities to do many things, but his passion was all about music and dance.

When he was a child at the age six (6) years old, on the weekend he would put on his talent show with his younger cousin’s, sister, brother and friends and pretend for the audience. He was so fun and filled with laughter and when he sang and danced it was entertaining to the people in the community.
Meanwhile growing up, he and his cousin and cousin inlaw started making music by using sticks, old pots and pans for there instrumentals, Youngsta Musiq was always the one singing while the rest pretends they were the band’s player.
He’s was inspired by the nature and his emotions. His older cousin always playing Celine Dion and Michael Jackson songs and videos which he admires alot and it became a great impact to what he loves. He made his first song at age 7 which he still remembers.

When Youngsta Musiq was 13 he wrote he first reggae song but his mom was against is love for both music and dance. Each time he tries to keep it going here comes mom ready to ruin what he loves, he cried whenever his song books were burned. At age 14 Youngsta Musiq gave up music and dance, and started to doing sports which was football and that’s when his mom and dad disagree with his choice, it was all about books but when he do his drawing they always smiles because his dad dream was for him to be an architect, but drawing was just to help him think about what he loves. 

After a year in high school, he decided to do what he loves, Youngsta practice day and night because the only way he could dance and sing is to be apart of the performing arts team at his high school he attended (St. Catherine High) his mom and dad agreed and after 4years in high School he enter a school lyrical battle doing a collaboration with two of his friends dissing different high schools and that’s when his mom got upset it was back to square one. 
But when it was about time to leave school his mom agree to allowed him to do what he loves. And after he leaves school he move to Kingston to stay with my grand aunt that’s when he met a few reggae singers but they weren’t to interested in working with him. After a few months Youngsta Musiq  came back to spanish town when he records his first song with Echo Mystic But the journey was rough, he told few of his friends that he will pause for while and use dancing to create a fan-base And after after 5 year he was accepted to be a instructor at Dance Jamaica Academy along with his crew Mostwanted Dancers.

In 2016 he was back to recording his first reggae single Positivity when he decided he will be an independent artists and so on. As the years pass the more he records and promote the more opportunities and supports he gets but he never stop dancing because his believe “When I dance it inspires me more to sing.” After he registered his own record label (New Chapter Production) and learn the craft how to produce music properly in the direct path, which he got massive airplays on the radio in few countries worldwide in 2018 – 2019 he release a few songs and currently in 2019 he was signed to a management music group (talermad music group) thanks to his friend Adrian (Laddy Mack).
