Jamaican Dancer
Shamoie Jones, better know as Wire Waist was born on the 3rd of December 1998 in Falmouth, Trelawny Jamaica. Later, she resided a few years in Old Habour but spent most of her life growing up in Portmore St. Catherine. She attended Waterford High School until 11th grade but was unable to graduate because of unforeseen circumstances. Shamoie was living with her dad from she was a baby and did not get a chance to know and have relationship with her mom, who passed away when she was 10 years old, around the same time that she discovered her dance talent. At age 17 she decided to take her dancing seriously and started to practice with Dancehall teams in her community. She also worked with reputable Dance Companies such as Dance Jamaica Academy and Dance Xpressionz, where she got training and exposure as a professional dancer. At this point she was well on her way doing promotional gigs, performing around Jamaica, appearing in music videos, attending Dancehall Events and getting lots of recognition in the streets and on Social Media.
You will see her in Music Videos such as Ding Dong – ‘Yeng Yeng’, Wasp – ‘Join The Line’, Point Zero – Katana and recently Elephant Man – Find It just to name a few.
A great accomplishment for her is her dance appearance in the 2019 Lasco ‘Christmas Wish’ Commercial.
Some of the Dance Moves she created include: Wire Wine, Wire Dem, Black Heart, and Smooth Lift.
Wire Waist is now attending Distinction College to further her eduction, learn a skill and qualify herself in Cosmetology. However she plans to continue pursuing her love for dance.
She is available to do Dancehall Classes, Performances and Promotional Work.
